Sprain is a nice local (public) course that's very conveniently located in Yonkers NY. The fairways and greens were in really good shape, especially considering how hot and dry it has been. Wooded and scenic with a moderate challenging course. Not a lot of bunkers and a few water traps. Great for all levels of play. I base my reviews on convenience of location and price. Update-May2023 The course is in beautiful shape, scenic and enjoyable to play.

Good golf course, fairly priced for the area. Busy busy busy, is the only reason it’s not 5 stars. Greens are taken care of, carts are well maintained.

Monday 10/06/2024 2:00PM Tee Time - Pace was pretty good 4:40 on the day - Pro Shop has fair prices - Golf Carts have GPS - Beautiful Layout - Staff could be a bit more welcoming

Well maintained course, good stand was cash only this isn’t a problem per se but I wish I’d known in advance. No water coolers on the course either, this isn’t a huge deal just wish I’d known. Starter/ranger were not really doing their job the group in front of me was playing very slow it looked like at one point someone was giving a 10 minute clinic on chipping from the sand. The ranger just stood next to me in his cart and watched.
